When would I need a notary?

Circumstances when you may need the services of a notary include notarising company and business documents, notarising personal documents including identification and powers of attorney. Notaries may also arrange for apostilles and consular legalisation if needed.

What do I do now?

The first step to have your document notarised is to send a draft of your document to me by email at cordelia@notarypublic.org.uk I will review the document and provide you with a quote, explain the process and estimate the timeframe. I will let you know what supporting documents I will need and if we need to schedule an appointment. Once I have seen your draft document, I will confirm the process and explain which documents you will need to show me. I will provide you with a quote and we will agree a proposed meeting time and date to suit you. In most cases, I will need to meet you in person, either at one of the HK Law offices, your place of work, your home, my office in Weymouth, or other agreed location. I shall need to see your original passport and original proof of address.
